We recommend you use the Simba Spark JDBC driver instead of the Simba Spark Extension for Lumira.
Lumira has native support for JDBC drivers, the extension was created prior to the release of the JDBC driver as a temporary bridge.
Go here for more information and to download the Simba Spark JDBC Driver.

We’re happy to provide a new Simba Spark Extension for Lumira to download. This extension provides native access to Spark from SAP Lumira via the Simba Spark ODBC Driver, allowing you to analyze your data in Spark using the power of SAP Lumira. Installation Instructions:

  1. Ensure SAP Lumira is closed.
  2. Navigate to the install directory for SAP Lumira, typically this is C:\Program Files\SAP Lumira\Desktop
  3. Create a new folder called daextensions.
  4. Create a new folder within the new daextensions folder called Simba.
  5. Copy the “Simba Spark.exe” file to the new Simba folder. At this point, the “Simba Spark.exe” file should be within the folder located at C:\Program Files\SAP Lumira\Desktop\daextensions\Simba.
