MongoDB ODBC and JDBC Driver with SQL Connector

Leverage the power and convenience of SQL for the real-time analytics and reporting

Current Version: ODBC 2.0.1.1002 | JDBC 1.0.0

Overview

Simba MongoDB ODBC JDBC Connectivity diagramLight up features in your analytic applications by connecting to your MongoDB data with Simba’s MongoDB ODBC and JDBC Drivers with SQL Connector. Make quick analytic insights by leveraging high performance query and calculation capabilities of both single and distributed instances of MongoDB. Since MongoDB is a schema-less data source, the SQL Connector defines schemas on the fly providing a low touch SQL window to MongoDB data. Further schema refinements are possible via the newly designed Schema Editor. High performance data access is achieved through Simba SQL Engine’s built-in Collaborative Query Execution (CQE) ensuring filter and aggregation workflows are passed directly to MongoDB rather than being processed within a client application or intermediary system.

Product Highlights

  • Quick access to MongoDB data through automatic schema generation and normalization of arrays as virtual tables
  • Extensive performance improvements through the use of the MongoDB Aggregation Framework for passing down aggregation operations, double buffering when reading data, and improved write performance via the MongoDB batching interface
  • Improved security with new authentication support for Kerberos and LDAP as well as per connection SSL configuration
  • Updated Schema Editor application allows for new and improved re-normalization workflows such as data preview and array flattening while avoiding error prone editing of schema files by hand
