SimbaLab - Interoperability Testing for the Real World

SimbaLab is Simba's in-house interoperability testing facility that provides a context for real world, methodical, standard conformance and interoperability testing of front-end business intelligence and performance management applications against back-end databases. The value of SimbaLab is that it allows application and database vendors to test their programs in an efficient and proven manner.

In using SimbaLab, application and database vendors can verify the compatibility and accurate communication of multi-dimensional data and metadata from data sources to front-end applications.

Why is membership in SimbaLab important?

The ability to test against other vendors' products in a neutral setting, without having to incur the capital expense of setting up and operating individual vendor test facilities, is a signifcant benefit of SimbaLab. As a result, SimbaLab will greatly enhance quality assurance (QA), while being cost effective. SimbaLab's focus is on interoperability, and as such, using the lab affords users the time and resources to run test suites customized for interoperability performance. If a vendor chooses to use SimbaLab facilities to outsource in-house quality assurance, this is possible on a per case basis.
