Vancouver, BC – January 10, 2006 – Simba Technologies Inc., the industry leader in data connectivity toolkits and services, announced today the release of SimbaEngine SDK 7.5. This latest release of SimbaEngine SDK now makes it easier than ever for developers to build a robust ODBC, JDBC or OLE DB driver, or an ADO.NET provider for their proprietary relational and non-relational data sources. SimbaEngine SDK 7.5 adds several new features to its already powerful architecture to make it faster and easier to build a high-performance, standards-based driver.

SimbaEngine SDK 7.5 includes Simba’s new Quickstart Driver, an easy to use sample driver designed to quickly allow developers to create a working prototype driver. In addition, the updated SDK includes Simba’s new Quickstart Guide. This new guide helps developers new to SimbaEngine by walking them through a step-by-step development of a basic, working driver. Together, the updated Quickstart Driver and Quickstart Guide shorten the time to create a functional read-only prototype driver to less than a week.

“This latest version of SimbaEngine will enable companies to achieve faster time to market than ever before,” said Amyn Rajan, President and CEO of Simba Technologies. “SimbaEngine SDK continues to be the recognized choice for establishing relational and non-relational data connectivity.”

These new enhancements add to an already long list of powerful and robust features SimbaEngine SDK already contains, such as support for a large number scalar functions, enabling improved data access and manipulation, and push-down processing functionality for added performance optimization.
