  • 2001 Simba releases SimbaEngine SDK 6.0 and SimbaEngine SDK 6.1. SimbaLab is launched as a result of the success of InterOperate '99. Designed and built to function as an InterOperability Facility, SimbaLab allows Simba to offer sustained value to the database and business intelligence community.
  • 2000 Simba releases SimbaEngine SDK 5.5 and SimbaProvider for OLAP SDK 2.0. Simba and Orbital Technologies Inc. form an alliance.
  • 1999 Leading provider of OLE DB for OLAP (ODBO) SDKs. Host and sponsor of first-ever industry event InterOperate '99 - 16 leading OLAP server and application vendors performed interoperability testing, technical and marketing brainshare. Simba is appointed Chair of the MDX Conformance SIG of the Analytical Solutions Forum (ASF).
  • 1998 Simba is the first to deliver native OLE DB and OLE DB for OLAP (ODBO) toolkits.
  • 1997 The first to deliver a "100% Pure Java" JDBC driver.
  • 1996 Simba signs its 100th customer-over 50% of shipping ODBC drivers were built using Simba's data access toolkits.
  • 1995 Simba pioneers server-based ODBC. ODBC solutions for the UNIX market are delivered to customers.
  • 1994 Attachmate and Liant join with Simba to create legacy data solutions. Simba focuses on connectivity solutions.
  • 1993 Microsoft puts Simba technology on 30 million desktops. Digital and Oracle follow Microsoft's lead and partner with Simba. Simba is the first to ship complete software development kits for ODBC drivers.
  • 1992 Microsoft partners with Simba to build ODBC drivers.
