One of the announcements by Simba this week at the Strata conference was the availability of our Big Data JDBC driver suite. Simba is the leader in providing ODBC access to Big Data including Hive, HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, Impala, and Big Query. We have now extended that to include JDBC Drivers for Big Data. In fact, we also announced at Strata that MapR will now include our JDBC driver for Hive in their Hadoop distribution. This is significant because it was 2 years ago when MapR was the first major Hadoop distribution to include the Simba ODBC driver for Hive in their Hadoop distribution. This allowed MapR to be the leader in a connecting Tableau, Excel, QlikView, Crystal Reports, etc to data stored in Hadoop. The initial partnership with MapR was followed by DataStax, Intel, Hortonworks, Cloudera, and Microsoft. Today, with MapR extending their relationship with Simba to include the Hive JDBC driver, you can expect Simba to expand our already broad Hadoop and Big Data coverage. At Strata, we also had SAP demonstrating their Lumira product connecting to Hive and Impala using the Simba JDBC drivers. Another first for Simba. Big Data is here to stay. Connecting standard enterprise tools to Big Data is important. Simba continues to lead the way to allow you to connect any data, any time, anywhere.
