Exciting news! Couchbase Server 4.0 Beta was announced this morning at Couchbase Connect 2015 currently taking place June 2 to 4 at the iconic Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. Simba and Couchbase are also happy to announce the availability of the Beta releases of the ODBC and JDBC connectivity solutions at the same time. The Beta versions add support for write-back (INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE) queries either using standard ANSI SQL or Couchbase’s own powerful query language (and the most complete SQL implementation available for NoSQL databases), N1QL (SQL for JSON). If you’re on the ground at Levi’s Stadium, don’t miss Jeff Feng’s (Tableau) session on Visual Analytics with Tableau and Couchbase, powered by the ODBC connector, today (June 3) @ 4:30 pm PST and Kyle Porter’s (Simba) session showcasing BI tool integration with Couchbase on Thursday, June 4 @ 1:45 pm PST. The two lead developers – Victor Tsang and Tony Huang – for the ODBC and JDBC connectors will also be on the ground, excited to show you how you can get connected to Couchbase. You can find them, and Kyle, at the Exhibit Hall.
