Stephen Swoyer from TDWI recently wrote about Kognitio Pablo and how “the OLAP status quo itself has got to go.”  The basic idea is that “cubes aren’t just problematic to build — they have to be managed on an ongoing basis as well.”  If we move from actual cubes to virtual cubes, we still get all of the analytics that traditional OLAP cubes have provided and we can increase the scalability and performance of the solutions.  You can read the full article here: Kognitio Touts “Train-of-Thought” Analytics.
