Membership in Oracle PartnerNetwork to Enable Simba Technologies to Develop New Data Access Options to Integrate with Oracle Software

Vancouver, BC – March 19, 2008 – Simba Technologies Inc., the world leader in standards-based data connectivity solutions for relational and multi-dimensional data access, announced today that it has joined the Oracle® (NASDAQ: ORCL) PartnerNetwork (OPN). As an OPN member, Simba gains access to Oracle products, solutions, support and resources that will aid it in developing data access solutions that enable connectivity with the latest Oracle systems.

“We look forward to working with Oracle in our efforts to provide Oracle customers with new and innovative ways to intuitively access their data for business intelligence and performance management,” said Amyn Rajan, CEO of Simba Technologies Inc. “Matching Simba’s expertise in data connectivity via both SQL and MDX with Oracle’s industry-leading products, users will gain an outstanding level of native data access and analytics capability. Simba’s ability to extend Oracle’s enterprise portfolio should significantly impact the experience of Oracle’s customers.”

Simba is the only company in the world that provides both relational data access via ODBC and JDBC, as well as multi-dimensional data access via ODBO and XMLA, enabling connectivity between multi-vendor products. Many leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and enterprises use the company’s products and technologies to enable access from popular business intelligence and performance management applications to data sources for meaningful answers to complex business questions.

Essentially, Simba provides the glue between a user’s application of choice and a data source. Most importantly, the company’s products and technologies are based on established industry data standards (SQL and MDX), which means that users can be using products from two or more software vendors and successfully make them work as an integrated solution.

Such standards-based data connectivity provides ISVs with opportunities to expand into new markets by capturing users that have made investments in another vendor’s software and providing an opportunity to sell its own software into the user’s stack – a layering of technologies or applications that make up a system. Similarly, users (or enterprises) benefit from being able to leverage existing IT investments, while being able to add new software or technologies to augment their systems.

Simba plans to independently develop the new data connectivity products. Details on proposed solutions are not available at this time.
