What is the required version of SAP Data Services?
The minimum required version is 4.2 SP5 Patch Level 3, or 4.2 SP 6. There are upgrades that must be made to DS to meet the SSL/TLS requirements of Salesforce. For more details see here.
What version of the Salesforce API does the Adapter support?
The current version of the adapters supports Salesforce Summer 16 Release Salesforce API 37. There were major changes in API 36, so previous versions of the API are not supported.
With the Simba Salesforce Adapter, can I use objects and dataflows created with the SAP Salesforce Adapter?
No, you must re-import the objects using the Simba Adapter. You must then update the tables your dataflows use and may need to update the items the tables are directly connected to, ensuring that correct metadata is used.
Does the Adapter use OAuth?
No, OAuth is NOT supported. Please leave the following fields to their default values: OAuth Url, Access Token, Refresh Token.
Will the Adapter work when Salesforce stops supporting TLS 1.0?
Does the Adapter Real Time data?
No, Real Time data from Salesforce is not supported. Please leave these fields blank.
What should I consider if I upgrade my Data Services for the Adapter?
If you upgrade SAP Data Services, you will need to reinstall the Verisign Root Certificate. Please follow the instructions in the Simba Install Guide.
If everything is configured correctly, but I get: Adapter Connection failed ... Error connecting to the database, what else could it be?
There is a mismatch between Verasign certificates for Salesforce and Data Services. The Data Services certificate must be updated. Please follow the install guide under the heading “Installing the new Verisign Root Certificate.”
Where are the TRACE log generated?
Logs will be generated in [DS_COMMON_DIR]/adapters/log.
I'm getting an invalid session error, what can I do?
In your data store configuration, set Auto Logout to false.
Why do I get an error like com.acta.adapter.sdk.AdapterException: Cannot introspect object of the class Unknown object ... java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.acta.adapter.salesforce.SForceTableTarget?
This error is seen when you try to use tables imported with the SAP Salesforce Adapter. You must re-import objects to use them with the Simba Adapter.
